FACTORY IN POMONA WITH DJ AM, STEVE AOKI + FRIENDS.
Dim Mak is teaming up with Mark Rodriguez of The Heist to take over Pomona's The Glasshouse on August 11th for one big huge ALL-AGES dance party that we've named FACTORY! Already confirmed headliners on the bill are DJ AM and Steve Aoki. We'll also have dj sets by the Heist's own Hyphy Crunk and our main man behind Dim Mak Tuesdays, Them Jeans. Check the flyer for a full list of DJs for the night. This is going to be THEE party of the year Pomona! We hope to see all our Inland Empire homies on Monday... THE WILLOWZ HIT THE ROAD!
Time for an update on our favorite long haired boys, The Willowz. The band is in the middle of recording their rock-n-roll masterpiece that we're pretty sure is going to blow us all away in 2009. The guys are taking a little vacation from the hardcore studio time to hit the road with Swedish bad boys The Hives and American bad boys Eagles of Death Metal. The Willowz part of the tour kicks off at Stubbs in Austin, TX on September 16th. Check the band's Myspace page for a full list of dates. SHITDISCO VIDEO ON MTV2 THIS WEEKEND
The video for "Reactor Party" from our newest signing Shitdisco is
premiering on MTV 2's Subterranean this weekend. Tune in to check out
Dim Mak's newest band. Shitdisco will be coming stateside in the
spring for a US tour. The US release of their debut album on Dim Mak
is slated for later in the spring as well. The album will feature
tracks from the UK release "Kingdom of Fear" as well as some new
songs, b-sides and brand new remixes. It's definitely going to be one
of the best releases of 2008. We'll make sure to keep you posted. In

THE DEADLY SYNDROME ROCK LA TONIGHT
The Deadly Syndrome are gearing up to play the first of two LA shows
this week. Tonight hey hit the stage at Silverlake's famous
Spaceland. Doors open at 8:30. This show will definitely sell out so
get there early early. Also on the bill are two LA hotties Airborne
Toxic Event and Castledoor. If you can't make it in tonight you get a second chance to see the boys in action when they grace the stage at
The Scene in Glendale on Saturday. Ooooh, also, don't forget to set

THE ICARUS LINE BACK ON STAGE!
With new drummer in tow, LA rockers The Icarus Line make a much-
anticipated return to the LA stages. The boys are headlining the
Indie 103 Check 1/2 night at The Viper Room on Monday and follow it
up with a trip to Vegas to play Check 1/2's night at the Mirage's
Beatles Revolution Lounge. There are a couple more LA dates in

tells us there is a new video in the works for "Slayer" we're psyched
to see it and will share with you all once we get our hands on the baby.

making it's triumphant return to our favorite music festival SXSW in
lovely Austin, Texas. We have a slew of our bands coming down to
play our Wednesday, March 12th showcase at The Beauty Bar (Austin).
We can't announce the bands or the details of our special event just
yet but when we do you'll be pleased! One thing we can definitely

The Deadly Syndrome were hand picked by Mr. Knoxville and his Jackass crew to perform LIVE on the 24-hour takeover of MTV by Jackass. Here is a note direct from the band "On February 9th we will be performing a song live on MTV during the 24 hour "Jackass Takeover." We're working on some really classy video effects and fancy dance moves..." We're going to do our first ever 24-hour Tivo for this. Foreign Born are gearing up for their February tour with St. Vincent. The tour kicks off in LA on February 15th, at Echo Park's finest music venue The Echo and then heads up the coast to hitting up Santa Barbara, SF, Portland and Seattle then Minneapolis, Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh, DC, Philly and NYC and Cambridge. Ok Texas friends and family in the industry, Dim Mak is making it's triumphant return to lovely Austin, Texas for this year's installment of the best music party on the planet, South By Southwest or better known as SXSW. We have a slew of our bands coming down to play our Wednesday, March 12th showcase at The Beauty Bar (Austin). We can't announce the bands or the details of our special event we have cooking that's basically going to blow your mind... All the more reason to stay tuned right? However, we can guarantee that Dim Mak is going to bring the best party to Texas this season!

Thanks to everyone who has been submitting cool party spots in your hood for us to come visit and get crazy. We are reading all your notes and are definitely going to be getting back to you soon as we get full swing into the Dim Mak US Takeover... In the meantime, we wanna do a lil' survey. Dim Mak wants to have house parties too!!!! We have this genius idea to do a house party tour later this year. We want to bring bands, djs, fun peeps to your house and have a sweet party. FOREIGN BORN AND ST. VINCENT PREP TOURForeign Born are gearing up for their February tour with Beggar's Banquet's on St. Vincent. The tour kicks off in LA on Valentine's Day hangover day, February 15th, at Echo Park's finest music venue The Echo. From there they head up the coast to hitting up Santa Barbara, SF, Portland and Seattle then Minneapolis, Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh, DC, Philly and NYC and Cambridge. Phew. Good times. LA, you're so lucky. The Deadly Syndrome loves LA and LA loves The Deadly Syndrome. It's like a mutual appreciation society. The boys have two area shows coming up in the next few weeks and LA, you're invited. The first is a gig with their buddies Airborne Toxic Event on January 31st at Spaceland in Silverlake and the second being a headlining gig at The Scene in Glendale. We suggest you get there early. If these shows are anything like their Viper Room show a couple weeks back it will sell out quickly and you don't want to be stuck outside in line in the cold. So 2008 has been lots of fun so far for all of us here in the Dim Mak camp. If all the awesome partytime continues thru the rest of 2008 we're gonna be taking a lil cat-nap come this time next year. Do you know who takes lots of naps (because he keeps the weirdest hours)?.... the hardest working man in show business, our leader Steve Aoki is who. We keep wanting to attach one of those helmet cams to him to capture a day in the life of Aoki. We'll stream it at the office on the plasma, you guys can bring the popcorn... THE ICARUS LINE LIVE!
We kind of feel bad for the rest of the country when we say thing like LOS ANGELS FUCKING RULES! But well, sometimes we just have to say that. Yeah some of our staffers come from awesome little towns like Lawrence, KS and Maurice IL... and yeah we love all our buddy towns like NYC, Chicago, Miami, Philly, Seattle, etc... and yeah those place rule and all but LOS ANGELES FUCKING RULES. LA, you lucky lil town, you get some more preferential treatment in the coming weeks because The Icarus Line will be hopping between a few clubs making their hot-hot-hot return to the LA stages. It all goes down on Monday February 4th when they play Indie 103's Check 1/2 night at the Viper Room. Then they cross the Desert for a show at The Revolution Lounge in The Mirage Las Vegas on the 5th, then they hit up awesome The Echo on the 21st and kick it downtown style at LA Cita on the 27th. Get yourself to one of all these shows. Keep an eye out for more non-LA dates to be announced soon as well.

Downtown Los Angeles is about to get Christmas Sweaterfied! The The Deadly Syndrome have come up with the concept of what is sure to be our favorite holiday party in LA this year. The boys have teamed up with The FOLD to present the first ever Christmas Sweater Festival. They hand-picked their favorite LA bands to join them on stage (Eskimohunter, The Mae Shi, The Happy Hollows and The Pity Party). Each band will tag-team the stage eventually each completing two 15 minute sets. It will be a fun-packed night of music and tacky sweaters. Tickets are a mere $5 minimum donation with the proceeds going to charity. It all goes down at Crash Mansion on December 14th. Christmas/Holiday sweater attire is a MUST!!.
